I understand your desire to excel in life. Achieving that requires mastering the art of managing your life and emotions. As a systemic therapist, my focus lies in comprehending and addressing the interrelated dynamics within families, relationships, and larger systems that may influence your well-being. This encompasses various facets, including but not limited to the biological, mental, and emotional components.
In my role as a systemic therapist, my objective is to guide you in gaining insights into these intricate interactions. Together, we can collaboratively work towards fostering positive changes that contribute to enhancing your overall mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual health.
Couples, Families, or Individuals acquire new skills and strategies to improve communication, cope with stress and anxiety, foster relationships and promote healing.
Therapy offers valuable support, validation, coping skills, and strategies. It provides a pathway to greater peace of mind, aiding in your ability to navigate challenging emotions and situations in life. Through therapy, I hope you experience a secure, non-judgmental environment where you can authentically express yourself, feeling understood in a way you haven’t been before. This transformative connection can be incredibly powerful. My motto is to be relationally focused and authentically compassionate with my clients.
It’s essential to note that therapy doesn’t alter external circumstances or change other people. While therapists provide psychoeducation, feedback, and guidance, I refrain from giving direct advice or solutions to circumstances. This is your life and I am happy to talk through what you are facing but the decision is yours. Particularly for those new to therapy or exploring unresolved trauma, the process may initially evoke discomfort before leading to improvement.
As for the duration of your journey to feeling better, it’s challenging to predict. Generally, the more effort and commitment you invest in therapy, the more significant the benefits you’re likely to experience.
The purpose of our initial call is for you to share details about your situation and inquire about my therapeutic approach and methods. This conversation also provides you with insights into my personality and the experience of talking with me.
By the conclusion of this 15-minute call, you should have a clear sense of whether or not you wish to proceed with working together. Simultaneously, the call offers me valuable information to better understand your needs. If I believe that I may not be the best fit for your therapeutic requirements, I will provide a suitable referral to another professional whom I believe can offer you the assistance you need.
Each session is $200. This is a flat rate regardless of how many people are in the session or whether it is pastoral or therapy.
I do not take insurance but can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company. Please contact your insurance company for more clarity. I do not accept Medicare. If you are a Medicare beneficiary, you are also unable to submit a superbill for reimbursement of our servicesI accept payment via check, cash or credit card. I use a HIPAA compliant service called IvyPay to help process credit card payments. I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy so you will be billed if you cancel in 24 hours or less for the full amount. If possible, I attempt to reschedule clients in the same week to avoid paying the cancellation fee. Phone conversations, emails, letters, etc. have a separate fee. Please contact me for those rates.
Building a positive connection with anyone, including your therapist, is greatly influenced by chemistry and openness. During our partnership, I urge you to express if any of my words don’t sit well with you or if I don’t meet your expectations. Disappointment is a normal aspect of relationships, and in therapy, our goal is to collectively address and resolve such emotions.
One advantage of working in private practice is the opportunity to provide complimentary 15-minute consultations before scheduling your initial session. This allows prospective clients to engage in a conversation, assess the chemistry, and address any queries they may have.
